  • Refereeing

The Refereeing has been so different to what we have all been accustomed to watching the EPL and EFL.

The increasing gamesmanship we have all had to endure over the last 10 to 20 years looks to have been targeted in this tournament.

Germany will feel hard done by in the first half against the Ivory Coast, the latter seemingly benefitting from the "new" code but I've noticed it in quite a few other games this far.

So refreshing to see these cheating entitled primadonnas' wings being clipped.

    Come on côte d'ivoire!

They seem to have eradicated time wasting. One shame was the ref/var being pulled up for incorrectly carding almiron against the USA for diving having initially carding Ream for a foul. I'd like those decisions to be added to the rules because almiron attempted to cheat.

It has been refreshing, the games have been much more free flowing, they just need to get a grip of the shirt pulling ( no pun intended )

I like/love the way some players are rolling around in agony and the referee is totally ignoring them
When they realise they are being ignored, they get up and run around like an headless chicken

Crazy how the USA is tackling cheating in football but not in the whitehouse, senate, supreme court and the congress.

            I like it.

That Scotland penalty late on would have been given 8/10 times over here but I really don't think it was. Just because your knee is brushed doesn't mean it's enough to throw both your legs back.

The players rolling around are often left as play carries on.

Actually really enjoyed the flow of most games, advert break apart.
