    It’s as though the absurd ‘Premier League’ record is repeated & repeated until it become fact. They’re embarrassing themselves really to us who know and revere football history. They’ve tried to wipe out our heritage, it’s criminal and annoying. The only way we can compare is like for like statistics and, unfortunately, for the Premier League lovers, pre Premier League (but still top flight mind) goalscorers outdo their darlings of the last 30 years and by some distance. Greaves, Dean, Bloomer etc should still be recognised as the top of the tree and the yardstick for top flight marksmen, not ‘Brian Deane scored the first goal in football history’.

        I remember the trust meeting City's ceo or whatever he was not long after the stadium had been completed

        He was just a suit , completely away from reality

        It made me think if this is what it's becoming do we really want it ?

          IMO if they insist in referencing Premier league rather than overall top division They should at least follow up their statement with the 'Top Flight' record too.
