I find it bizarre that game in game out we can't seem to hit the target but it doesn't mean we have a problem creating chances. It means that for whatever reason, none of the side, defence, midfield or attack can currently actually hit the target.
No chance we were the better side.

We also offered nothing going forward, most of our shots were long range (including the goal), I'd love to see how many were taken inside the box.

I think the BBC count all blocked shots as ‘not on target’ even when some of them clearly are.

Yeah there’s no way City had that many decent chances or were the better team. Talk of firing him soon is ridiculous, he deserves time to finish the experiment but if he doesn’t get a proven striker and tweak the way we play in the attacking third it could be a long season that only ends one way.

Not as embarrassing as this post I'm afraid. Virtually an entire new squad, this will take time to gel.

This f*cking thread is embarrassing, for you and every other drongo who wants Morison sacked. As I’ve said before, the stupidity of our fan base is surely unrivalled.

There are very few fans calling for his head.

The stupidity of our fan base unrivalled.??? Utter rubbish.

A significant amount of Swansea fans wanted Cooper out and a significant amount now want Martin out.

Really clutching at straws if all you can compare us to are them lot down West! They may be stupider, but I don’t have to sit/stand next to them every game coming out with the absolute drivel our lot do.

Massive overreaction for me. He needs to be given this season at least to properly stamp his way of playing on the team. Will it be a frustrating season? Yes. Will it be best for the club in the long run? Yes.

For me the frustration was more about the way we set up than the result. Wrong line up totally.

But I agreed, it was never going to be an easy season. Huge overhaul of the squad, new style of football and all on a shoe string. If we were in and around the playoffs on this budget then I’m sure Morison would be getting a better job.

Some people just don’t like Morison so are looking for ways to have a dig and to a point he didn’t help himself last night with that team. I’m more than happy to give him time though. It was never going to be a quick fix.

                        Just this ^^^

The OP (obvs multi) would probably be happy if we went for Scott Parker.

He was probably one of the ones screaming at the defence in the last five minutes to "get it up there", then cussing when the ball, easily dealt with in the air by their cigar smoking deck chair lounging centre halves, came straight back.

Our shooting has been a real problem and had Sawyers's shot for the goal been one of the ones we had at nil nil or one nil, then we'd have got something from the game having also entertained.

It seems clear hitting the byline and crossing hasn't been working nor our arial presence at set pieces.
If we are going to get goals then I'd have the lot doing shooting practice from outside the area all week.

My view is what's the point in having a club (as a fun hobby like gambling) then only throwing a dollar chip on blackjack. He wants to hob nob with the big boys in the prem but doesn't have the wallet so what is he getting out of it apart from losing money every week?

That is along the line of my thoughts exactly.

He has won promotion twice and spent next to nothing in Premier League terms and come straight back down. Hardly the big boast to his rich friends is it.

He's spending money just keeping us afloat but for what?
To just exist and float above relegation spending as little as possible.

Now would a club with a fair wedge of debt, that we still are, be more tempting to a would be buyer vying for promotion or kicking along at the lower reaches of the Championship.

It makes little sense that we made so little of trying to stay in the Premier League. It makes even less to do what we're doing now. I understand letting dead wood on large wages go but we're trying to rebuild on a pittance.

I can't think for one second Tan is impressing anybody with the way City have been for the past few seasons. In short I'm not sure what he is trying to achieve. Keeping a club afloat to exist in the lower reaches of the Championship is hardly the dream or a rich man's play thing is it?

I'd go as far as running City as he has done the last few seasons makes him look more foolish in business circles than impressing anybody.

                                He does deserve time.

I dont mind a frustrating season. Its completely unrealistic to be expecting a challenge. Relegation isnt acceptable though.

Conceding goals from set pieces cant become a habit. Thats on him and the coaching staff as is our attacking set pieces.

Hopefully he keeps us away from the drop zone and he gets at least 1 striker through the door.
