As their Captain Fernandes has licence to "talk" to the referee. He is an excellent player even though he had a poor season last year. Some say that had something to do with Ronaldo's arrival.

Does it also give him licence to roll around theatrically, bend the rules to near breaking point (holding onto the ball after Liverpool scored recently for example) and generally moan at everyone and everything. He personifies everything that is wrong in professional football and sets an appalling example.

Odious, but a good footballer.
