No, but that is a friend of mine. He’s always wearing his City or Wales colours around town, on holiday, doing the shopping, running a half-marathon etc. He’ll definitely appreciate an Ayatollah.

That’s very kind of you. Hung up my boots a while ago but I’ll mention it to him.

He’s a real City fanatic and ST holder. Good runner too and he told me he was just finishing the half-marathon last year in his City top when a well-meaning spectator yelled at him ‘Gooaarnn Chelsea’. Said he lost a good few places as he stopped to explain in no uncertain terms that he was wearing a Cardiff shirt.

At 63, I should have hung up my boots long ago, but the urge to play, proudly wearing my City shirt is a must at the end of a week.
