It's just my opinion, but I think Messi & Ronaldo should have both retired at the top. Nobody wants to see these two icons sitting on the bench or struggling to score goals.

I’d have to agree with that. Sad to see Ronaldo frustrated sitting on the bench.

I’d feel the same about Bale if he didn’t keep pulling out magic one offs for Wales.

Absolutely. Hundreds of flukes from 25 yards that should have hit the woodwork but fortuitously found the net. Opposition defenders letting him score etc. Put Fred Gounongbe in a Barca shirt and he'd get 70 a season.

We all know he only played for Benin because he wasn't guaranteed a starting place in the Belgian international side. He could have been bigger than Lukaku, Messi, Ronaldo, Steve MacLean....
