So teams will try to pass the ball around and take it to the corner for the last 5 minutes… as opposed to now when they try to pass the ball around and take it to the corner for 1 minute and then roll around and take ages over dead ball situations for the other 4.

Can’t really see an argument against it TBH other than tradition and maybe that the TV money won’t like that games won’t be as predictable in terms of end times any more.

Time wasting was ridiculous from us last night.

Alsopp going down every 10 minutes, throw-ins taking a minute at a time.

Don’t like seeing it.

We had them on the ropes, just keep going.

What happened to a bit of fair play.

It was us doing it so i don't care..

If the referee stopped his watch when the ball was out of play and started it when play restarted,the problem would be instantly resolved.I won't hold my breath expecting this to happen though as football is still in the 19th century as far as time keeping is concerned.
