Not to take anything away because we worked it reallywell but the defending to allow NG into the box and then to come inside and get his shot away was schoolboy.

I remember watching a televised game under Warnock. Joe Bennett had taken possession, level with our own penalty area.
The ball fell kindly for him and he found himself with acres of space in front of him, which he could clearly see. He set about moving up the wing at pace, with only the opposition right-back able to possibly get a tackle in somewhere near the halfway line.
Suddenly, you could hear Warnock bellow out instructions to check back.
Bennett stopped immediately, laid the ball back, and trotted back into position like a chastised schoolboy!

You're right, but in the moment, watching it, it was a genuine piece of excitement we rarely see. That first half was mental though. I don't know how we managed to blow a 0-3 lead in such spectacular fashion. We didn't stick the knife in. What the f*ck did the boss say to them at half time?!
