Was in Brussels earlier this year for a few days and didn't like the city. It just didn't seem to have any vibe other than selling overpriced chocolates and macaroons! Went over by Eurostar in a carriage completely full of West Ham supporters on their way to Frankfurt-connecting trains. It was grim I tell you. Not the best trip.

It is a strange city and not one I particularly liked.

Far better bet is to base yourself in Lille , which is far nicer, and just train in on match day as it is only about 60 minutes away.

Then again you may miss out on hundreds of Welsh supporters getting pissed and trying to sing but you pays your money etc.

And the Euro qualifiers a few years ago with Splott Parker .Place was rocking.
Was laughing at a plain clothes policeman trying to blend in, till he mentioned he knew I watched Cardiff away ....

Even Brugge or the Dutch cities are much nicer, Brussels was just weird….and then there were the local North Africans…..

It was around 5 years ago.

Took the wife there as I was being a boring znd whimsical reminiscing to myself.

Looks totally different in the cold light of day than it does pissed on blanche and fuzzed up with LSD.
