Bloody hell mate, sorry to hear that. As long as she's OK though. That's a scary experience.

Absolutely devastating but as long as she’s okay, that’s the most important thing! As much as it maybe inconvenient, cars can always be replaced.

          Any idea what caused it?

She said she smelt like a burning wire before they parked up.
Then loads of smoke then within seconds flames engulfed the car.
She is worried because there are cars either side of the car.
            What if they get damaged?

Guessing it would be covered by her insurance, she obviously can't be blamed for a fault she knew nothing about.
Hopefully it all works out ok and no major issues, thankfully she's alright.

Maybe tell her not to mention to her insurance company that she smelled burning. Just thinking they could use that to suggest she should have moved the car or reported it or something.

Fuel plus spark. I would guess that a leaking fuel pipe dripped petrol onto the exhaust, or onto a live wire. This used to be common in older cars, and the new E10 fuel is already known to rot fuel lines.
Also, electrics under the dash can catch fire. Putting the wrong fuses in the holders can overload wires and cause heating, which melts insulation, causes sparks, etc.
Not that I'm saying that's what happened here - I have no idea. Glad everyone is okay.
