But in the case of Lawrenson, it's not that he just doesn't add much or is annoying to listen to - he's a mood hoover, he speaks as if he is having the worst day of his week. If he'd gone gracefully into the night that's one thing, but he's played the woke card. Just take it on the chin.

Even Tyldsleys video was better than this
Thinking about this though......wasn't that Lawrenson's way or style of punditry? The humorously gloomy outlook, I mean. It was funny on occasion and certainly didn't bring me down!

If the alternative is the quite ridiculous Micah Richards laughing like a child at absolutely everything, I know which one I'd chose.

Nah. I think Lardy's post pretty well sums him up.
      Huge superiority complex.

Agree with the latter though. Micah works as he ticks many boxes and his loud laughter at nothing is infectious to other pundits making for light-hearted viewing.

I bet there are people out there who fast forward the football.

Don't think I've forgiven him for moaning his way through a world cup in Brazil. It doesn't get much better than that, your job is to be in the stadium for half the games. And that still wasn't good enough for him

Cod psychology time, but I wonder if he was bitter that he retired just before the premier league started. Players often struggle with retirement anyway but to see inferior players earning 10 times what he did must have rankled.(knowing his personality).
