    Mark Hudson:

“I really enjoyed it,” said Hudson. “I was really proud of them. I thought you saw a team with fight and togetherness against arguably the best team in the league. To a man, the subs coming on too, everyone was together and that’s what you saw today.

“I think a draw is a fair result. If you ask them, they’ll think the same. You saw second-half, going a goal down the way we did, positive mental attitude from every one of them to step on. Again, the subs coming on gave us sort of an impetus going forward and we get our just rewards with the goal.

“I’d say 99% of the game, they carried out exactly what I asked. I think they’re a team that move you around, rotations are really good and ball speed is excellent. They’ve got some top players, so you’re going to have to sacrifice your heart and desire to put your body on the line, I think they did that and they carried out the game plan.

“There was some urgency about our play, we tried to play through them as much as we could. Like I said, they’re a really good team, but if you look at the goal, we can reassess what we may have done slightly wrong leading up to it, but they’re things we’ll work on ahead of Tuesday.”

On Callum Robinson Hudson said: “He was brilliant from minute-one. He’s been away, he’s travelled, he’s been a great signing and he's a great kid.

"This was his first game at home, and his first goal and it puts that penalty to bed. He can focus on getting many more for us going forward.”

    Callum Robinson:

“I’m buzzing. It was a tough game, as you saw. They’ve got a lot of quality, they play a lot of football, have a lot of rotations and it was a really tough game, but a good one for us. We’ve got a young group, who have shown a lot of character to come back. On a personal note, it was a lovely feeling to get a goal and get off the mark in my Cardiff City career. I’m looking forward to the future, but I’m buzzing with that goal.

“It’s a big statement. It feels like a win to be honest, because we knew we had to work so hard against a good quality team. They’re going to be up and around it, definitely."

    Ryan Allsop:

“It was a really tough point. I think that they’re a really good team, as we saw today and previously from the homework we’d done on them.

“We were a bit disappointed to go behind in the first place, to be honest. In terms of character and fight from the lads, it was unbelievable to come back and get a point. It was hard earned.

“They’re a team that likes the ball. It’s something that we’ve tried to do this season as well. I think sometimes that we needed to be a bit better on the ball, but in terms of spirit our togetherness showed in abundance today, to get a draw against arguably one of the best teams in the league.

“It’s going to come thick and fast with matches, but that’s why we get into football.

"We’re always looking to pick up results, and we’re getting our fitness from playing games. We’re focussed on getting our performances right, and we’re sure that the results will follow.”

Yes. I'll remember the Ayatollah more than his debut goal.
