Well, yes, and different nations.

But with all these European tournaments I would have thought they had met before, especially given the length of their histories. Liverpool have probably played Celtic, no?

Had a quick look at the stats, and they were in the same cup competitions more times than I remembered, but Rangers generally got knocked out early.

Just saw the score and the summary. How did they play? Two set piece goals so hard to tell from the little I read. Bronkhorst mentioned they played five at the back. Any chances in open play for either side?

I had the city game on the TV and the Rangers game on my phone .Rangers got mullered . Rangers squad cost about 20 million , buy one of Salahs feet .Liverpool were disappointing despite their obvious class.
