I agree Wintle makes a huge difference to us, crazy to think we shipped him out on loan. Also think NG has grown and grown in stature. He seemed to lose all confidence under MM, could hardly pass a ball at times towards the end but he looks a very good centre back now.

The more I think about that, the more truly unbelievable it is.

As for Wintle, he's looking a very tidy player indeed. Hopefully his contract's not expiring any time soon, other clubs will be taking note I reckon.

My sources tell me that Vincent scouted him, Ken sold him the dream, and Mehmet did all the leg work to bring him in.

And some people knock the Transfer Committee. Unbelievable!

But I can say that Vinnie is only known as Vincent when he is out scouting League Two prospects on a wet Tuesday night.

I'm told he stayed in the Holiday Inn Express - which as Vincent could tell you is less than 2 miles from Gresty Road.
