Hope he keeps his, alleged, demons at bay and he enjoys a trouble free and healthy life. He gave us the majority of the very few magic moments that we’ve witnessed recently.

Nice one Mr P! Genuinely sad to read his retirement tweet. The only player in recent years at Cardiff who had that magic that we all want to see. More of a sparkler than a candle. Loved watching him play.

Tomlin was the main reason we got to thePlay Offs in 19/20 and then seemed to give up after that, but I’ll remember some of the things he did in a City shirt more than I will with some who played three and four. Times more games for us than him.
They clearly rushed Tomlin back, he was in pain playing in the playoffs, his injuries and body was breaking down on him. His body blew up big time vs Fulham and that was that.

I watched him at Donny this season vs Stockport, and he was the best player on the pitch by a million miles. I hope he finds peace in retirement. Good luck to him, he was a joy to watch at times.

And then we rushed him back again at the start of the following season.

Yeah, I'd forgotten about that. I've mentioned before that I'd seen him play for Rushden & Diamonds several times before he even came to us (made 156 appearances for that club). My mate was a ST holder and adored him and the club. Loved my time going to Nene Park back in the day. That's another sad football story.

Did you buy that joke there?! It used to be a lovely little ground too.
