It’s is Madley there joining in with the Morecambe celebrations isn’t it?

That was awful for County. I do try and see things from an officials point of view but sometimes you have to wonder if there’re other things going on. I still don’t think it’s bias but I do think it’s gross incompetence and wonder why his assessors are letting these things slide?

I wonder where Madley will be reffing next Saturday, if he gets sent league one or two at least we’ll know he’s been assessed correctly, you’ve got to feel for the players and fans who’ll have to endure his unique interpretations of the laws of the game, though.

              Disgusting.

I said in the match day thread that Madley is a blatant cheat regarding two decisions that were pretty clear that both went against us.

just think of all the things we've done to them.

We beat them at Wembley in 1977!

                  Re: The Ref

I make it that Madley has taken charge of twenty one games involving Welsh teams. He's done games involving us the jacks and Newport and there have been five wins for the Welsh, five draws and eleven defeats. I don't think that's enough to justify any anti Welsh allegations, but since his "second coming" after he was dropped from the Premier League, Welsh teams have really struggled with him in charge - I make it that the last ten games have seen one Welsh win and a couple of draws. One of those draws was in the last City match which Madley refereed before Saturday - the 0-0 draw with Reading that confirmed our promotion in 17/18. As Madley has mostly been officiating in the lower divisions in recent seasons, it's Newport who have suffered the most at his hands - they've lost every game they've played with him in charge, one of which came after his shocking handling of their Play Off Final.

Games refereed by Robert Madley in 2009/2010. Includes appearances and cards issued. Free online betting tips, place your football bet today.

I think you are forgetting Wembley 1927!

Seriously though, it may not even be football related. His ex-wife may have been Welsh.
She may have run off with a Welshman or he may have been on the wrong end of the law with South Wales police.
Perhaps he's pissed he's had to pay the bridge toll for years.

One thing is for sure, he's a Kent!
