  • Anyone know good alternatives to Ebay?

I find their 15% fee a mickey take. They really need some competition. I'm selling adidas trainers and other casual gear. Any good alternatives out there?

Gumtree is free. I use this for anything big.

Facebook marketplace, Vinted is fairly new and better for fashion.

You can still use eBay for listing and do a deal with a buyer in the messenger - just remember to cancel the listing if anyone bids.

You can use Etsy for vintage items (over 20 years old).
There are also buy/sell/swap Facebook pages in most areas now (no fees at all).

I sell a fair bit on depop, mostly old football shirts, and ive found it to be very good. The fees are about the same but you dont have to wait 10 days to get your money like ebay these days

Vinted, Depop, Facebook marketplace all work, but they all have their limitations.

Cheers for the replies, think i'll give debop a try. 10% is still too high though lol

eBay normally do 70% or 80% off selling fees at least once per month. Plus your selling money is in your bank the next day now. They take their fees out first and you no longer get stung by Paypal on top. The last one was last weekend where I had 80% off so I'm expecting another one either next weekend or the one after
