  • Rob Burrow MND

Christ what a terrible illness 🤒

Just seen him being helped by his wonderful wife Lindsey to swim in a local pool

He was a powerful , athletic and muscular rugby player before the illness struck

Poor guy is wasting away , his wife was bigger than him on that clip on the news 😕

What a great bloke Kevin Sinfield is , helping out his mate 👏

One of my favourite rugby league players, mainly in part because he was usually the smallest player on the field but with the heart of a lion.

Must be awful to basically be a prisoner in your own body like that. Saw the programme when he first got diagnosed and it was a tough watch.

He does seem to be deteriorating fairly quickly.
Apart from this new programme and an appearance at the RL opening ceremony last weekend, he's hardly seen. Very sad.

              I would recommend his book.

It is called Too Many Reasons To Live.
It is a sad read but quite funny in parts and gives you some insight into the disease and Rob's life.

Such a cruel disease. Good documentary highlighting it. Fair play to him and all those around him for keeping fighting.

It's awful , dementia you don't know what's going on , this MND you are suffocating and choking on your food and unable to control your body

And people try to tell us there is a god who loves us and cares for us ?
