Well the big glaring one is employing somebody who has experience of running a football club or football operations of some capacity.

They have reached the Premier League twice and been relegated twice after one season there. A record that belongs solely to us.
There are two glaring ones and that is just for starters.

Managerial appointments have been rushed and in many cases plain wrong.

We have paid over the odds for many players, paid too much in wages and also length of contract. Bacuna a typical example.

I couldn't believe there was anybody but maybe dml that would say the club could not improve on anything but it appears there are more.

Tan is not perfect but we are pissing in the brambles with our dicks out if we are blaming him for the situation we are in

If everyone on here had been told back in 2010 that Vincent Tan would still be here in 2022 having spent tens of million of pounds on the club, what would the answer have been to the question “where you expect City to be in twelve years time?”? I’m 99.9 per cent sure no one would have said lower in the Championship with a significantly worse team.

I don’t know how much City are worth today, but I see no way Tan could expect to get all of his money back - if Hull were sold for £30 million, why would anyone be willing to pay substantially more for Cardiff City, especially in the current economic climate?

On the other hand Newcastle sold for £300M+ When on the verge of relegation to the Championship, are they really worth 10x Hull?

Before I saw the Hull valuation, I would have said £50m - £75m. Probably the worst time to sell a club in the last 15 years.

Like TOBW said, for all Tans investment we're in a worst position now than when he initially invested, which stems from his mismanagement coupled with loss of interest.

We are worth whatever someone is prepared to pay.
As far as I am aware there is no long line of wealthy investors wanting to snap us up and, frankly, why would there be?
The English rugby club scene has recently highlighted the precarious nature of dependence on wealthy benefactors and I would imagine several football clubs will go the same way as Wasps and Worcester.
If Tan decides to cut his losses , with our speculated debts, I think that we have to be somewhat pessimistic about the future.
The hope is that someone will pop up from somewhere but that is hardly a healthy business model.
