In recent seasons, whether statistics back it up I don’t know, but we seem to have more than our fair share compared to other clubs. Players even breaking down in training whether through a fresh injury or when ‘on their way back’ more so than in games themselves. Are our back room staff up to the job? Is a shake up required there? We’ve not witnessed the player, who was quite highly rated, from Forest Green yet, does he exist? The ‘Isaac Vassell Ward’ which has now been extended and renamed the ‘Isaac Vassell Wing’ is surely the busiest place at the club.

Re: Injuries
I thought Adams was on the grass, I think Colwill slipped when he last went on the grass and has not been seen since. Isaak Davies is some way off going on the grass it seems and Romeo’s lost in the long grass - can you imagine the likes of Scoular, Ashurst, Burrows, May, Jones and Warnock coming out with bollox like that?Originally posted by splott parker View PostIn recent seasons, whether statistics back it up I don’t know, but we seem to have more than our fair share compared to other clubs. F**k knows what any of it means, can you imagine someone like Karl Woodward or Joe Lovejoy sitting through that crap?
'Look is he fit for Saturday or not' is the question
A simple yes, no or doubtful will do

Re: Injuries
No, what we get from club spokesmen now is an awful lot of words which don’t actually say anything - I know Isaak Davies initially had a hamstring injury, but does any one know what’s keeping him out now? I’ve had my say about Colwill, but I’d be grateful if someone on here could tell us exactly why he’s not playing. What’s wrong with Romeo?Originally posted by Rjk View PostI think you all know exactly what they mean, but you'd rather be grumpy old men for some reason
Pre Neil Warnock, you’d get straightforward answers about a players injury situation, but I was struck by how reluctant he always was to give the sort of info previous managers would as a matter of course and it’s just got steadily worse since then.

Meanwhile back on planet earth rather than trying to sound like PR or marketing men for a government minister, wouldn't it be easier to say Cowill is 80% fit and we hope to have him back in a week or 2

Jimmy Scoular … they’d all be hiding in the long grass :hehe:, he frightened me & I was stood 100 yards awayOriginally posted by the other bob wilson View PostI thought Adams was on the grass, I think Colwill slipped when he last went on the grass and has not been seen since. Re: Injuries
we do seem to have quite a lot of players out injured at the moment:
Collins, Romeo and Ng would all be in the starting XI if fit, with Collins one of the first names on the team sheet given his early season form.
Davies and Colwill would definitely be around the first team as well, pushing for a place, Bagan too.
No idea where Adams will end up in the pecking order.
I think any club would struggle with that many players out, especially in defence.
to add to that we will be missing Robinson for the next 3 games as well.
hopefully we can get some of these players back soon

Re: Injuries
I’ve seen the odd (very odd) suggestion that Colwill isn’t playing because we’ve agreed a transfer for him in January. For me, that’s as much bollox as we get/got from Hudson and Morison when enquiries about injured players were made. Surely, hardly anyone claims that the players you list aren’t injured, but, speaking for myself, a bit more information, as opposed to transatlantic marketing speak, would be welcome. Getting Colwill, Davies and Romeo (plus Ng) back would be good news and, you never know, Adams could make a big difference when he starts playing, but I defy anyone to tell us with any confidence when we can expect any of them back based on what we get told at press conferences.

Re: Injuries
I’d hazard a guess it’s a modern sports science approach and speak, but given that we seem to have more recurring and major injuries than ever before it doesn’t appear that approach is working.
Without knowing the first thing about the topic, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to imagine we might be in the dark ages and cheap when it comes to that side of the club as well.

Yes it's really bad luck in defence, three of our best players out at once, one of them covering centre half and either fullback position.Originally posted by Rjk View Postwe do seem to have quite a lot of players out injured at the moment:

It's a squad game now and when our first teamers are out we struggle, other teams have better quality replacements.
