Outside of the Premier League, we have our worst ever scoring start to a season, scoring a feeble 12 goals in 16 games, beating the 13 goals scored by Alan Durban's side in 1985 in Division 3 and the 14 netted by Lennie Lawrence's relegation battlers in 2004.
It's something to think that half of our league goals were scored at Boro and Wigan. That's 6 goals scored in the remaining 14 games. We've failed to score in 8 of those games, though Durban's 1985 team failed to score in 9 after 16 games and Ashurst's team in 1983 did similarly.
Our worst season after 17 games outside the PL happened in 1995, with Kenny Hibbert's side scoring 15 from the opening 17 games.
