He's waiting for Bale to be ineffective during the world cup so that he can tall everyone on here that 'I told you so' What i don't think WB seems to understand is that Bale isn't just about performance anymore. And if we look at small nations who have qualified for world cups, then they don't leave their biggest player at home, even when they aren't what they were on the pitch. We are not Germany, England, Italy, France etc and that has to be taken into account.

If WB was manager we'd be going into the World Cup with a front 3 of Luke Harris, Brennan Johnson and Chem Campbell with Bale and James on the bench. That being said we probably wouldn't have qualified!

Anyone who suggests we don't play Bale is mad. He's proven time and time again that he's still got it (even if the pace has gone) and there's nobody else I'd want playing in a big match for Wales

Bale is looking healthy. In hindsight I’m glad that he went to LA and not us. Awful weather and too much expectation.

Let’s hope he’s healthy enough to provide a few moments of magic and retire with no regrets.
