  • Remember we without our three best players.

Every team struggles when their three best players aren't playing, we don't concede three with Collins, Kipre, and Wintle. That three obviously make a massive difference defensively, but they are also the main players for bringing the ball out from the back.

We did the hard work for us scoring two goals that would normally be it, but without Wintle's protection and Kipre's ability to be in the right place, we blew it.

We should be a lot better with Wintle and Kipre back on Saturday.

Hull were also without their best player.

Collins is out for the season as well. We may as well forget him.

Collins shouldn’t be forgotten about if the accusation is that we just bought crap in the transfer window.

Collins looked a very good signing and we were unlucky with his injury.

Hes not helping us now though. Bagan has to come in. A young player needing to be the answer in a position in a really poor side is going to be difficult. The same with Colwill and Davies.

Yes brilliant position for them only one of their three best players out, imagine we were only without Collins, we would have murdered them!

You take the best three players out of any team in this league and they would find it difficult, in our case all three were key in defence, that's obviously why we conceded three goals.

I would imagine we will sign a left back in January, it's our biggest weakness!

I love how Jamilu Collins is a club legend after 3 games, it's almost as hyperbolic as writing off Cornelius after a warmup

We have no idea how it might have worked out for him, most people also thought Sawyers, Rinamhota, and others we great signings after those 2 wins against Norwich & Birmingham. It's a loss as no doubt as he would have been a regular but i think he need to be careful in overstating something on very little evidence

Its also debatable whether they are our 3 best players.

From what I've witnessed lately it seems a contradiction in terms to say that we have 3 best players.
3 "least shit" players would be more accurate

You make a good point in fairness, but personally, I thought he looked like the best player in those early games both defensively and bringing the ball out. If you looked at comments from the early games that was the general view of fans on all forums and my mates in the ground. Time will tell if he's as good over a full season as he showed in those early games.

I'm certain he is miles better than Niels and Bagan, he's a big loss whether you want to admit it or not, teams have identified that as our weakness and are looking to cross from that side week after week.

The rest of the post points to the loss of Kipre and Wintle, which was the main point that we had three first team defenders/defensive midfielders out which led to three easy goals conceded.

OK, you think Wintle, Kipre, and Collins are all shit, fair enough.

they're decent, I don't think we've seen long enough to judge how well they can go on to perform, but the line '3 best players' makes it sound as though there's much to choose from. So at this point i'm sticking with "least shit"

Re: Remember we without our three best players.

Everyone has injuries, suspensions, players that would otherwise be in their 11, some far more out than us.

Collins looked good in the few games he played but it's pointless mentioning him in this context, he isn't back anytime soon and we brought in another left back (although he's clearly going to be a better player at left wing).

I'd argue we had our best player (in terms of goal contributions at least) back last night.

It's pretty clear Kipre and Wintle are key to our passing game.

Collins has to be one of our best players due to being a left back actually able to defend.

I think people imagining Colwill returning is going to solve our problems are pissing in the wind
