  • RIP Frank Rankmore

Meant to post this the other day but got caught up in the World Cup. A gentleman and fantastic representative of Splott, Frank gained one Welsh cap against Chile on the South American tour of 1966. RIP Frank, a true giant amongst men.

RIP - slightly before my time as far as City we’re concerned. Didn’t realise he played so many matches for his other clubs. He was in theNorthampton team that George Bedt scored six against wasn’t he?

He may have been, his son, Frankie jnr who I played with for Bridgend Street, was born in Northampton due to Frank snr being based there (or was it Peterborough?, it was one or the other).

Sorry to hear that. Saw him play but to be honest haven't particular memories.
            Was he living in Northampton?
            RIP

I was going to say “well he’s definitely in a better place now”
                But maybe it’s too soon.

I remember the name and I think I saw him play but that’s about it, I’m afraid.
