One good thing in my opinion is the correct time being added. Fans certainly getting their money’s worth. Hope it’s introduced in domestic football, although I’d suggest more defibrillators around CCS if the City are going into added time with a one goal lead.

It's a good thing to try and combat time wasting. Doing it at a tournament where some games are kicking off just after midday in 30+ degree heat though feels a bit like torture.

Iran should have taken Wales to the cleaners well before the 98th minute but playing for so long in those conditions feels like a significant advantage for teams who are more used to the heat.

I certainly do and the likes of me and you and others on this messageboard should be looking at compensation from the club. The accumulation of the minutes we lost in those days must amount to a good few hours. On the flip side, the Football Echo would have come out about 8 o’clockish.

I read in a recent game involving Rotherham that they were feigning injury and generally time wasting. The referee added in a total of 10 mins added time. Rotherham ended up losing the game, conceding two further goals. More consistency is needed.

Under Warnock we would have kicked off at 3 on a saturday and finished up at tea time sunday.
