    Re: O/T winter fuel allowance

Is this on top of the payments Westminster have given to people for the cost of living?

When selecting qualifying benefit, choose the Household Member from the dropdown list. You then select their qualifying benefit, NI Number and DOB. Bloop - if that's what you did, just submit a new application as they won't be able to update the previous one.

As Sludge says, don't take no for an answer if you are entitled to it, but go to the council not CAB :hehe:

You, or someone in your household, needs to be on a qualifying benefit.

Just told my missus for her mother who gets PIP. She just applied for her and said very easy to fill in. Cheers TWGL

I know that but it says it says it’s targeting low income households. There’s people who get PIP who are not a low income household as it’s not that type of benefit.

My nephew is autistic and gets PIP but my brother and sister in law are earning about 70k between them.

There's also plenty of well-off pensioners claiming attendance allowance who would also claim this too.

Sometimes it's cheaper to process awards in a blanket manner than assess each household individually.

                    Re: O/T winter fuel allowance

Just checked my bank account this morning and found a credit for £200 from the Council.
Massive thanks to Blue Velvet for helping to sort out my application and to TWGL1 for starting the thread in the first place.
As a treat i might leave the heating on for the Mrs today, whilst I go out to work.🙂

Wow. That quick. Waited bloody ages for our initial cost of living payment.
