  • Wales Would Have Won

More fame, respect and fans accross the globe if they had boycotted the World Cup due to the dreadful human rights
slavery abuses ,deaths due to building such stadiums, not forgetting the corrupt nature of how the World Cup was awarded to an awful country such as Qatar.

Disgusting how its now trivialised, sad to see fans ,players ,pundits who have so many other views on social injustices , not get that worked up ..about this one ... and stay involved, even spend money or make money on the event .

Sadly the giants of football Qatar are out, that should re shape World football...

Hypocrisy at its best as 8 billion flows into Qatar pockets .

PS not watched a single game ..

Why didn’t Bale wear the one love armband against England, they said they were worried about a yellow card but surely worth the hit.

Not sure he would have been sliding in if already on a yellow but always the risk yes.

It's disappointing that fifa left it so late but also quite funny that the FA's bottled it and were bullied by fifa on what is even merely a token gesture. I'd have loved to have seen the captains call their bluff.

In hindsight we wouldn't even had noticed if Bale had been sent off.

Would have made even more of a point. Although we don’t even know if we could have got a yellow.

Leave the politics to the government and football authorities, footballers should be concentrating on football.

Yes that's when he was going to wear the armband, he shouldn't have because at the time we were hopeful we would do a bit better, he would have been sent off as he was booked for nothing as it was.

Players concentrate on football and let the Authorities deal with FIFA and Qatar.

If we leave fifa and uefa and the rest of the football authorities to do something about crucial matters then you may as well forget it as they won't do anything

That’s not what I said though.

                          Re: Wales Would Have Won

I get what your saying however you can imagine the uproar here if we hadn't participated on the world stage after trying to qualify for so long? Fans would be in even more despair than the dismal football we played. Yes Qatar and FIFA are corrupt as hell, the whole thing stinks but from a fan perspective we don't want to get involved in the politics, we just want to see the football.
In 3 weeks time it'll all be over, hopefully the Qatar government has learnt a thing or two, sadly it probably hasn't and they will continue in their beliefs and traditions. But that is their right, they are their own independent nation and our western values don't have to be accepted in other countries as much as we'd like to see change.
It should never have been held there in the first place so hopefully FIFA don't start looking at saudi as a potential host in the future.

Don’t know if I’m missing something massive here but I thought the Wales team did boycott playing at the World Cup

Wales did boycott by refusing to play any football. I'm proud of their actions.
