  • Gareth Southgate Is A Gent

What a nice guy he is in the way he conducts himself with the players and the media

They will probably sack him but they shouldn't. He's the right man to get the best out of those players as England are not a top level international side even though they think they are .

Why aren’t they a top international side? Their main players play in some of the best teams in the world and Spurs.

Yeah but they haven't beaten a top 10 ranked team since the Euros.

Probably too nice which is why they fail so miserably. Give Warnock the gig :wales:

OK. So what defines a top international side?

England got further in this tournament than Germany, Belgium and Spain, and went out at the same stage as Brazil, Portugal and the Netherlands. So if they're not top international sides, who is? Just the four left in?

                I didn't say they weren't a top side.

Just that they don't beat the other top ones.

Personally I think they have good, but over hyped players, a bang average manager and are flat track bullies.

I agree. To have to face France in a quarter final was as tough as it could have got.

I thought Sam Matterfaeces was bang out of order near the end of the game to question Southgate's contract and suggest that losing in a quarter final was disappointing. There was absolutely no consideration of who England lost to. Tough draw.

Because France were winning they were looking for scapegoats.

1966 was the last time they won anything

We , as in Wales , did really well in euro 2016

We are not however a top international side

                          England are better than us

                          But not by a lot

When was the last time that England beat a world class side, or a 'big team' at a major tournament?

Don't dispute that Southgate is a nice guy, by the way.

The problem for England is they don't have any of them
