But there is now way there are actually 17 or 18K in there Sludge. There are IMO about 4 to 5K sreason ticket holders that just dont go. The cost of £270 per season to a lot of them is not a problem and is like a insurance tiothem, should we do well and go up they are guaranteed price freeze and seats etc. IMO there was probably about 11/12k Max in there on Saturday, unless of course there were a few thousand drinking in the concourse and watching on TV. The stands have huge swathes of empty seats in them. If the whole ground holds 34K you can take a look around (from the canton in my case) and see that the other stands combined tally up to a third full at the best. We are either over loading our attandances to boost income on paper, or thousands of ST holders just don't turn up.

14k to 10k is losing thousands. It would be a 30% decrease in sales which is huge.

How many people turning up now are only here because it’s Championship football? Probably not that many. We’re at our lowest point in 2 decades, we’re at our lowest period in my lifetime of supporting. The majority of people turning up to games now are our hardcore support and here for Cardiff City, not the Championship.
League 1 won’t stop me or anyone I go with from buying a season ticket and it’s probably the same for most of our current ST holders.

They aren’t. Which is why we’d lose some ST holders and probably get average crowds of 13k-14k.

I’m guessing there was roughly 14k there on Saturday. I don’t see many people who went to the Blackpool game not going to a League 1 fixture. As I said, we’re at our lowest point in 20+ years, most of the people going now are our hardcore support.
