  • ITV or BBC coverage for the World Cup?

Which channel did you prefer for the Word Cup, ITV, or BBC, and which did you watch for the final?

I was flicking back and forth, because of the adverts, but I think ITV was better.

The commentator on the BBC was better, but the pundit (Jermaine Jenas?) was worse than what ITV had to offer. Lineker just spent the time post-match reeling off meaningless stat after stat which didn't add anything at all to the programme.

I think ITV's pundits edged it but had worse commentators. Sam Matterfaeces has to be one of the worst TV commentators to be lead for any broadcaster in history since Grahame Lloyd covered a few Welsh games for BBC Wales television in the early 90s.

Saying that, I'm not the greatest fan of Guy Mowbray, either. Wilson or Pearce should be BBC's lead.

        watched the final on BBC

I found Jermaine Jenas very Bias, somehow he always dragged England in to a comment even if they were not even playing

I found HRK very good, he spoke well and knows the game

I prefer the coverage on ITV. Ally McCoist is a better co commentator than any of the ones on BBC. But the adverts are annoying so I switched to BBC for the punditry during the final.

ITV had better commentators and pundits but still nothing special. BBC have been losing it for years.

One particular nightmare is having to.listen to Jonathan Pierce and Jermaine Jenas without being able to turn the sound down.
