100%. I’m sober due to addiction in the past but ban alcohol and the world would be a much better place.

I watch police documentaries, and 99% of their calls are alcohol related. Scourge on society.

I've also heard someone suggest not climbing a ladder tomorrow to put lights up if you're on your own. Also if you do need to get to a&e, you should wait for an ambulance rather than get someone else to drive you there.

If people drank less alcohol the world would be a better place

And if this tosser tory government would pay better wages to the nurses , porters and the posties instead of just telling us to clap them that would be a start

Having just walked past A and E it was frustrating to see how many folk were out of it on drugs and drink , and its still early in the day ..

Must be tough to manage ones feelings and not judge , when faced with real emergencies and that from alcohol , drug abuse and domestic violenc ..

Was also struck by the number of posters reminding people it is unlawful to abuse or threaten health staff. .

I wonder how many lives are lost, beds taken because one has to tend to these types of self inflicted injuries Love to see that statistic and its value.

The misuse of alcohol is a huge drain on NHS resources , staggering in fact

If it was discovered tomorrow , alcohol would be thrown down the sink
