  • Madine.

Apparently, City have had an apology from the ref saying he should have sent Madine off - fat lot of good that is and what about booking Robinson instead of giving us a penalty?

    Re: Madine.

This is my gripe at the minute, these decisions could end up being the difference between staying up or going down. Hopefully that's not the case, but we really shouldn't even be having these situations.

If it's not the EPL though, who cares, right?

    It's really very wrong.

      Re: Madine.

There used to be an expression - the ref's decision is final - and that was that. There were always poor decisions made, but they tended to even themselves out over a season. The problem with the widespread use of VAR and all the endless video replays it brings, is that it gives you the sense that every foul and bad tackle can and should be spotted and punished, when in reality, that's just not possible. Sometimes, especially at our level, you just have to accept that's the game as it is, and get on with it.
Yes, Madine deliberately fouled Perry Ng (I'm still wondering why, exactly. There must have been some other incident earlier in the game), and yes he should have been sent off, but he wasn't. End of story. All these apologies do is make people even more angry.

I've been saying for months we've had terrible decisions from Refs, recently mind they've been slightly better but would have cost us at least ten points.

It does seem that we've had a really raw deal from refs since Hudson took charge. Not your usual win some/lose some stuff. We've definitely lost points because of refereeing decisions. OK, we don't have VAR but why can't Madine get a retroactive penalization from this? He stamped on a player a got away scot-free.

And Hudson has stated that he said he was going to do it!

Feck no. The more game time he has for Blackpool the better.

We've definitely had a raw deal overall but also I feel there has been a unusually poor standard of reffing this season across the board. Cipre's hand of god missed, couple of stonewall pelanties for opposition missed.

I think, as someone mentioned, highlights and live TV magnify these bad calls and we probably had loads and loads i the years before all that.

But I really do think this season has been a stinker - imagine if Colin was still our manager, I think he might have shat a kidney in anger.

Have to agree with this. If they replace him with anyone they’ll score more, nqat

Madine has scored as many as Callum Robinson this season. He isn't terrible.

You do know we aren’t known for scoring this season right?
I’ll take the evidence of his time with us and his four goals this season that he is shit

Madine was heard saying he was going to get Ng.

Hudson made the ref aware half time.

Second half he did what he said he was going to do, which the ref had a pre warning of, and he still didn't send him off.

We don't have VAR in our league.

We do have message boards where people have always, and will always discuss every little issue. That won't change

                          Re: Madine.

I agree it's difficult in real time for refs to make decisions as opposed to slowed down replays but a good indication of a challenge is normally the reaction of the other players and on that occasion Madine was late and it was a stamping down action right in front of the ref and the closest players were up in arms.
In precise the ref wast either blind or bent.

The reason is that because he was given a yellow, the referee was deemed to have decided it was not worthy of a red and a yellow card cannot be appealed.

Madine is one of their best players. That’s probably why they are in trouble but without him they’d be worse. Blackpool don’t score much either.
