Re: What will lift the Embargo?
Pretty much what they've said.
Our club thinks blaming everybody from the Agent to the tea lady will get some joy.
I predict, given the rulings that have already been arrived at, we will pay the original amount and an ever increasing legal bill.
Not to mention the reputational damage and any actual damage on the playing side us being unable to strengthen does to us this season.

I don't think it will be lifted either, but I expect the legal arguments are that there is a continuing appeal process underway through the Swiss higher courts and the embargo should be re-suspended until that is concluded (i.e. thrown out).

I think Hudson's answers are very diplomatic at times. Lawyers are looking at it etc.Originally posted by 2b2bdoo View PostOther than Hudson I don’t think anyone really thinks it’s going to be lifted
As far as I can see the decision makers have given us an ultimatum. Pay or be put under an embargo.
We seem to think we can kick the can down the road again and have the embargo overturned while also stating we definitely will not be paying.
I know what I think. I certainly can't see it being lifted without any payment. We seem to have exhausted all of our options outside of those very close to the club, brokers and the like. Doubt it will be enough to lift an embargo.

Not really.Originally posted by 2b2bdoo View PostI suppose there isn’t much Hudson can say.
I doubt he knows much to be fair but can be hopeful that something will be sorted out.
How much we would have available should the embargo be suspended is another issue.
If we've got no money to spend does it really matter to the club if it is lifted? We weren't exactly splashing cash pre season.

Re: What will lift the Embargo?
I understood that there was provision in the club accounts (although no actual money) to cover the full Sala transfer fee - to ensure that we wouldn't break the profit and sustainability rules if/when we eventually paid up.Originally posted by SLUDGE FACTORY View PostIf we pay the money we break the financial fair play rules ?
So we have had it
I'm sure Keith Morgan (Ninian 62) explained that in one of his annual commentaries? If right it is one of the few positives about the situation.
