  • Hull City On The March

Well not quite but from being relegation fodder 2 wins have shunted them up to 16th

This is the sort of thing this we look utterly incapable of doing

I can't see where the next win is coming from never mind back to back ones

As frustrating as some of the performances have been Sludge. We haven't been hammered. We got beat by a deflected goal at Blackburn which got the alarm bells ringing. Had we had another nil nil, most would have been happy with 5 draws in a row, and most talk would have been about our strikers not firing or the right combination up front. We could easily do a Hull and get two wins from next 3 games. It is really fine margins. But individual performances need to be better to get this.
Hudson's tactics and management nous does concern me. I'e Blackburn adopted the 'ball over the top' approach, probably because the pitch was wretched by today's standards. But Hudson did not take it into consideration and we were playing the ball to feet and along the ground.; which clearly did not work.
My biggest concern is the poor passing and ball control from majority of players; giving the ball away in dangerous areas, and lack of steal and quickness in midfield. The service to the strikers is pretty crap.
Wigan at home is going to be massive. If we get beat it will be Crisis time for sure.

Was the 3-2 loss to Hull the last time we scored?

Hull had a massive overhaul of squad as well, Rosenior has done well since he's come in.

That’s the concerning part. People say there are 3 worse teams than us so we won’t be relegated, which may be correct now. But those 3 teams can strengthen in January. We can’t.

I think Rotherham might be the only banker to go down.

Surely Blackpool are worse than us
To think It was only a short while ago that Middlesbrough and WBA were alongside us in the league.

Dire though the current situation is - on-field and off-field.....there ARE three worse teams than us surprisingly. I would put forward Wigan.... Rotherham... Blackpool....and maybe Bristol City or Stoke to go down. Hull will stay up.....as will Huddersfield.

As for Warnock.....I am undecided. I think Morison should have been given more time given what he achieved with the under 23's...but, as has been alluded to many times....he was probably too outspoken with the hierarchy.....maybe one day we will know the facts.

I am always the optimist and still believe there is the making of a mid table team here. It is about motivation and confidence......things which I don't think Hudson et al can achieve. Several have really disappointed. Sawyers was touted as the missing creative link....he is dead wood. ...a BIG disappointment.... as are Rinomhota, Curtis, Simpson, Ojo, the loanees...just not up to standard. Philogene...well there is the making of a player there but...needs guidance and motivation.

I cannot understand why more of the youngsters do not get their chance.....Tanner....Crole, the younger Colwill and others...Not all at once obviously, but can they really do worse than the current forwards???? I see their ages range form 19 -23 and I think back over 60 years supporting City and remember many many younger players making an impact. Sink or Swim comes go mind.
