  • This transfer embargo

FIFA enforced to means we cannot sign players on loan or non contract.
Pretty desperate news for us as we clearly need a couple of players, or a new manager who can existing players motivated.
As I see it, the only way for City is down this year, and I was pretty optimistic till I heard the embargo news.

As it stands, next season we will have our same squad without Philogene and Kipre. :hehe:

Always liked Oxford this time of year

      Exactly.
Do you believe promises that club can get embargo lifted? I don't.

How does it work for contract extensions or signing current loans?
Say in Kipre’s loan contract we have a clause with the option to buy, can we still do that? The contract was written before the embargo or do FIFA’s rules trump that?

I suspect there will be an exodus of players in summer, the likes of Odowda, Robinson, Allsopp.
We will be relying on youth.

I said in another thread and I’m only thinking out loud, but what happens when the next £5m instalment is due, does that mean another 3 window embargo?

As thing stands anything is possible.
Unless Tan can sort this out quickly I fear for our future.

Yeah Kipre has proven he could start for WBA. I'm just wondering about contract extensions for people like Ralls, Ng, Colwill, etc. Players that have been here a little while and might be out of contract soon. Not being able to extend contracts would be (even more) concerning.

Kipre would have to be barking mad to sign for us at the moment.

Even if it was allowed, there is only one type of player that would sign for us right now
