Re: Available Managers
Warnock wasn't cheap and he wasn't a puppet. He is a major reason why were are in this mess but Tan has appointed a manager who ran the club, we need to do it again. There are only 92 league clubs, we are still an attractive proposition.Originally posted by blue lewj View PostThe way I see it if you come here you're signing up to be Tan's puppet. A puppet doing things on the cheap too.
Basically we will only get desperate men in to manage us. Desperate because nobody else is showing much interest in them.

Re: Available Managers
They wouldn't have come near City anyway.Originally posted by Undercoverinwurzelland View PostExactly. West Brom up to 6th now. They were 23rd when he took over.
And Middlesbrough were 21st when Carrick took over - now 4th.
Not that either would probably touch us with a bargepole!
It's a basket case of a club ran by loopers who know diddley fuuck all about the sport or business of football.
Although all the recent managerial appointments are the cheapest, I'm convinced due to the hierarchy no prospective coach who got a basic knowledge of football would even touch City with a shiity stick.

Football isn’t rocket science - they clearly don’t make such daft and repeated mistakes in their business lives lest they wouldn’t be successful.

Totally agree.Originally posted by blue lewj View PostNo chance.

I started googling some of the other managers and seen they have clubs so that’s not going to happen.
Lee Bowyer was close at one time apparently, wonder if they may consider him for 6 months, hardly exciting choice.
Christ Hughton might be one who wants to get his foot in the door for 6 months but I don’t think he is what we need either.

Or, a manager could say, you've made a pigs ear of it, let me take control of it. I'm running the show.Originally posted by blue lewj View PostNo chance.

This can't be a surprise to Tan, something has to give.

The thing is a decent manager would want a decent strategy so he could achieve something.Originally posted by 2b2bdoo View PostTotally agree.

The club is directionless. Just going through the motions as cheaply as possible and hoping we retain our status as a Championship club. That will only end one way and any manager with genuine ambition would not come near the place if they had any other option elsewhere.

The bloke insisted on putting a dragon on the club badge ffs. Changed the club colour like he was putting a new lock of paint on a holiday home.
He isn't stepping aside to be told what to do by a manager.
He shows a distinct lack of trust for managers. If any decent amount is spent and they don't work out he sees it as a personal slight. He still drags up signings from years ago as some justification not to spend with managers today. He has big issues it seems.
