  • Three managers in a season

I'm pretty sure the last time City had three permanent managers in a season was back in 1996/97, when Phil Neal, Russell Osman and Kenny Hibbitt all took turns as the Bluebirds' boss. Before that, it was the 1981/82 campaign, when Richie Morgan, Graham Williams and Len Ashurst all filled the role.

Since taking control of the club back in mid-2010, Vincent Tan has had no less than ten permanent team mangers working under him:

    Dave Jones
    Malky Mackay
    Ole Gunnar Solksjaer
    Russell Slade
    Paul Trollope
    Neil Warnock
    Neil Harris
    Mick McCarthy
    Steve Morison
    Mark Hudson

Ten managers in thirteen seasons, and soon to be eleven. Let's hope Tan gets this appointment right, although he'll be bucking a trend if he does.

Given the calibre of the squad and Tan's track record with managers, I'd say there's more than a decent chance we'll end up with 4 managers; especially now we've wasted half the transfer window and we've just started looking.

Also 6 CEOs before the appointment of Ken Choo

At some point, one would hope at least, Tan will have a look in the mirror and see the main problem. I can’t see us staying up whoever they bring in now anyway. Maybe he will give up and sell us on to someone who might have a clue
