Re: Mark Hudson. On a personal level
Feel for him I really do, that was a tough watch.
He was unfortunate as a player to be let go from us due to injury but that’s happened since to the likes of Morison and Bamba - leaders that cared for the club.
Came in as an assistant manager/coach, so perhaps a bit of value still in him returning to that role. Some of these guys are happy and work best in those support roles - the actual mangers job was thrust upon him with no apparent plan and I doubt he would have been allowed to turn it down even he didn’t feel he was right for it.
I genuinely wish him all the best.

Re: Mark Hudson. On a personal level
Always looked a good bloke
He was never going to be given enough time to do a job here, when people are calling for Warnock to come back, what chance did he have, we will look back at his time and think he almost did it, a few of them draws into wins and he is a hero
Good luck Huds

Re: Mark Hudson. On a personal level
Good bloke and sad to see, but that's football innit.
Unfortunately he wasn't the man to progress us as a club.
I'm sure he'll rue a number of his own decisions ultimately, but there's a place for him in the game for sure.
All the best to him and as his family.

Re: Mark Hudson. On a personal level
I think his limitations were being seen by the end, but he always came across as dignified and a good man at heart. The video is a reminder of the human being behind all of the ballyhoo and the social media insults - Mark Hudson has no need to reproach himself about his time as manager and I wish him and his family all the best for the future.

Re: Mark Hudson. On a personal level
Never a good job for your first at the moment.
It's not tainted my opinion of the man at all, did his best under difficult circumstances.
On the positive side, will have made more than a few quid and now has some experience outside of being a caretaker manager to take forward.
That's football.

Re: Mark Hudson. On a personal level
That's the reality for nearly every manager and their assistants in the country, especially those with a family. Moving away from home, living in temporary accommodation, moving back and looking for another job to go through the same process all over again.
Must be one of the least secure professions around.

Re: Mark Hudson. On a personal level
There’s obviously a lot a manager can do to influence results but he can’t be on the pitch. Even just taking the last few minutes on Saturday, many of the team need to look in the mirror and reflect on the errors they made.

Re: Mark Hudson. On a personal level
Yes a nice man , a taller version of Russell Slade who was also nice ,lets bring back shouty nasty Morison..
Hudson has seen first hand what management is liked both form the front and as an assistant and two biggish clubs now .
Has been in some form of management role since 2018 ...
