Saw some bloke using one to identify a flight going overhead it looked quite good, but there are loads of them, does anyone know the best or a good one?

Re: The best flight tracker app?
It looks handy for that, you will be able to see where your plane is before it lands, the airport reporting on delays is often delayed itself so you don't find out till fairly close to boarding you might be having a two-hour delay.Originally posted by Fatty Thornton View PostI use Plane Finder - free and pretty decent. Often use it to work out whether I'm going to get delayed coming home from Dublin :hehe:

Re: The best flight tracker app?
I use Flightradar24. I feed data to them (pointlessly I'd say bearing in mind the receiver's location) so I get the Flightradar24 Business Plan subscription (a USD 499.99/year "value" option apparently) for free. I had a Raspberry Pi kicking around and blindly followed these instructions.Originally posted by North Cardiff Blue View PostIt looks handy for that, you will be able to see where your plane is before it lands, the airport reporting on delays is often delayed itself so you don't find out till fairly close to boarding you might be having a two-hour delay.

Re: The best flight tracker app?
Yes I use Flightradar24
It’s just an app on my phone
It’s free to download
You can upgrade but I’ve never bothered
It’s handy to track certain flights especially when you’re collecting friends and family from the airport.
It’s well worth a look as it covers the entire world and shows every aircraft in the sky

Plane Finder which I use has the same info. I also upgraded a few years ago, one off payment of about £3. It's an excellent app.Originally posted by Sunnysideup View PostYes I use Flightradar24
