A lot of the fringe states were either complicit or scared
Some of them provided willing participants to do hitlers work
Re: Denial , The Trial Of Holocaust Denier David Irving
One of the great questions of history.
I think the short answer is that he didn't want to. There was a point after the fall of France and before the invasion of the USSR where we were effectively alone in fighting the Nazis. Many called for us to make peace with them but Churchill didn't.
What would have happened, who knows. But Germany and USSR would have carved up Europe together although I think it's inevitable those two countries would have come into conflict soon enough anyway.
Had the Nazis won the war and established a third Reich I think it's history may have been similar to the USSR..one of gradual liberalisation in phases but ultimately ending in collapse as 'the west' would have overtaken it economically and socially. Their greatest crimes (like those of the USSR) would have remained mere gossip for decades. A horrifying thought.
That said, what would even have been left of the west if Germany won? Would America have challenged it? Would Britain? Would Australia have been free or a client state of Japan.

Fascinating questions.
America would only have intervened if it was in their own interest as they and let's be honest other major players have always been like that

Questions, questions. What contribution did Britain make to the eventual outcome of WW2 ? Why did Britain declare war on Germany for going into an eastern European country - in the opposite direction to Western Europe ? Why did the USA financially back the Nazi regime ? And why was the UK totally f****d economically until the 1980's as a result of bankrupting themselves ?

the UK had guaranteed Polish neutrality. The UK has always sought for a balance of power on continental Europe. We've done so since at least the War of the Spanish Succession.
