Yeah, way to gloss over it.

We'll ask Vinny to make important decisions while having a pi$$.

Would he make better decisions if he had a bedroom in the CCS?
Doesn’t seem to affect other Clubs the owner not living here.

Have these clubs got puppets in charge who don't know what is going on though?

My guess is they have some say in running the club and can think for themselves and the owner doesn't make every decision.

Not many wake up in the middle of the night to sack a manager.

Given so many clubs have foreign ownership I don’t think where tan lives is any issue.

Who his management team are and where they are is the issue

                Absolutely. And who appoints them?

                  Re: Who is in charge?

Exactly. He picked yes men who don't go to toilet unless he gives them permission and it makes running a club from that far away a big problem.

Dalman distancing himself from Tan's decision making in the last interview wasn't filling me with great confidence either.

Indeed. While Cardiff City were a Premier League club in 2018/19, the CEO was spending more time running the owner’s car dealership in London than he was running the football club. That’s amazing when you think about it. Can you imagine the CEO of any other Premier League club doing something similar?

no, because he might change the wallpaper to the wrong pattern for some

That is 2pm here. Let's say he has a solid 9 hours kip. Wakes up at 7am.

That means if he makes the decisions and something crops up between 2 and 11pm our time and we can't actually speak to him then we miss out.

                        But then you know better.
you do realise thats the same way its been since he arrived, thats 12 years ago, in which time we have done fairly well, signed plenty of players, got the the EPL twice, you know the rest

Someone on here said Tan is twelve hours in front of us in Malaysia, maybe he’s already appointed a manager and signed a couple of players and we’ll find out about them some time before 4 o clock this afternoon?

Tan is a dictator- this presumably is part of his culture and how businesses are run in his part of the world. We fans can’t change this simple fact.

What is interesting to me is that Vinnie doesn’t appear to learn from past mistakes and continues to repeat them - something he obviously does not do in his other business ventures lest he wouldn’t be so successful. Why can’t he run our club similar to his other interests?

                                Re: Who is in charge?

I think that when we’ve had certain managers (such as Warnock or Dave Jones), a lot of the issues have been masked because they’ve been able to give the impression that the club is being managed in a more conventional way by being the face of the club.
With some of the more recent managers (and perhaps including Solksjaer and Trollope) the club has appeared rudderless because these managers haven’t been the “face” of the club. It’s probably been like this since Warnock left.
I agree that nothing has really changed in terms of how Vincent Tan has the club being run, just the impression that we get.
This why we urgently need a Director of Football and a full time board, with proper transparency around the club’s strategy.
                                What’s the plan, Vincent Tan?
