I suppose it's not really good to come in as a new manager and say "I'll be taking all calls from every agent/club looking to offload and increase prices. I've looked at the squad and we're in trouble if we don't find some creative players or someone up front"

I still believe with the squad we’ve got we can be a mediocre mid table team. With such a big rebuild over the summer mid table would’ve been a success in my eyes.

For the first time in 16 months we’ve got a real manager at the helm and one with a variety of experiences too. We’ll be safe by the end of March I reckon.

How can he be happy with the squad? He hasn't seen them train or play. I think it's a case of 'Work with what you have' from above.

There are plenty who think we have a mid table /decent squad. I wish I shared that optimism.

Lets see. I think we need 3 good players to go straight in to the side.
