  • Mark Harris still wanted by Blackburn?

Blackburn Rovers want to sign Cardiff City striker Mark Harris after missing out on a deadline swoop.

Rovers wanted Harris as they looked for an extra forward but the Welsh club surprisingly quoted them a £700,000 fee.

Blackburn did not want to pay for the Welsh international and will now look to sign him for nothing when his deal expires at the end of the season.

Rovers chief scout Gus Williams knows Harris well after working with him at international level. Stoke City and Wigan also stepped back at the price and could return.

Would we look to buy Harris for £700k from another team?

    Welsh international, works hard.

Would be a shame to lose him.

If he is sold he will no doubt come back and haunt us

But he's not doing the business for us so no point in him being here

Yes and he’s championship level and brilliant to close down a game.

Unfortunately he’s not scoring and we’re relying on him to do that solely.

          He should be kept

Brilliant? I know you're the optimistic type, but come on...

Harris is another, like Colwill, I can't see what he does well.

When he gets in good positions he almost always chooses the wrong option or holds on to it too long. If we better used the wage, and I'd question our ability to do that, then I'd not be too gutted to see him go.

He run his guts out and gets in quite good positions.

I think a good player to bring on

His movement off the shoulder is pretty good, but when the ball hits his feet he invariably ****s up, because as a 'footballer' he's not great. What do people think is going to happen? Is he all of a sudden going to get better, more accomplished, more intelligent, more composed?

He gets in some great positions at times.

I think this highlights his bad decision making though.
Maybe those clubs think they can improve that aspect of the game. The mix of managers and coaches at City and Wales certainly haven't.

If Harris had some good players around him, then he may well make a difference in doing their work for them, their running, pulling defenders out and creating space for the better players, he's a dog and he will run and run, sometimes he shows a bit of quality, but it's few and far between. He'll get a good career out of it though, simply because of his work rate and honesty, he can be relied upon, you know what you're going to get with him. Plenty of managers like that, and he'll be cheap.

                            Mediocre at best
He's 24 years old been given more than enough time to prove himself, under numerous managers and just doesn't cut it in the Championship

I like Sparky, i feel he just needs a few goals and his confidence will be high and he will shoot more often / further out

a very honest hard working player imho
