  • Can we play Birmingham every week?

Back in August 2006 we beat Birmingham 2-0 at home. They'd just been relegated after a 4 season stint in the Premier League and goals from Ledley and Parry were the least we deserved as we comfortably outplayed a former PL side at Ninian Park. Despite a terrific start to the season, it was Birmingham who won promotion while we faded badly.

Since that 2006/07 season we've only lost to Birmingham 4 times in 24 games, winning 11. We haven't lost to them now in 9 games, winning 6 of them. Over those 9 games we've scored 21 against them.

We scored 4 past them a couple of seasons back when Danny Ward was sent off when I'm guessing we were only 2-1 up. That was a cracker of a game. I think it ended up 4-2?

It absolutely pissed down that day if I recall. My boy would have been 6 at the time was shivering in the family stand, even with a thick coat, warm clothing etc, and wanted to go home. We left not long into the second half and could hear the roars as Ralls got his hattrick.

In successive home games at the time against Brum we managed wins of 3-2, 4-2 and 3-2 again.

We looked so good at the start of that season I was convinced we were going up. That game in particular we tore them a new one.
