  • Kaba & Etete Look Too Lightweight

They both need gym work ..

Etete looks to have the better ball control .

To be fair they run around and chased down well ..

Robinson and Wickham showed how strikers should look , stay on their feet , run better angles etc etc .

Hopefully two for the future however are they any better than someone like Bogle ?

Kaba looks a handful, with a bicycle kick, scissor kick, and a high volley that skimmed the bar, he deserved a goal and worked really hard for the team, Robinson and Wickham came on against tired defenders, we have four Strikers that offer a goal threat.

Kaba does look lightweight albeit exciting. But he is another one just like Mark Harris who just doesn't watch the ball when it's coming to him in the air. Harris is even bloody worse, but they seem to watch the defender rather than keep their eye on the ball.

        That could be vital

1 nil, going in off the back of someone's arse will do
We just need 3 points at this stage

He definitely watches the ball as it comes into the box, otherwise those volleys wouldn't connect with the ball. I suggest it will take a little while for him to adapt to the championship though. I like what I've seen so far, and we should give him some ttime

He's not even match fit, early days but he looks a vast improvement on what we had, and is helping Etete produce.

giant haystacks would be too lightweight for some Cardiff fans.
it's not as though all the other teams in this division have a battering ram up front these days

Getting players in the gym is only going to lead to bulking up, which equates to less pace. 👎🏻

True Cowlill needs to go for the opposite reason, he needs to try and unbulk with running etc.

It’s strange, the only manager we’ve had in the last fifty years who didn’t think that a “big man up front” was absolutely vital to the team has been the one who was one himself!

                          Where is he?

That is about four managers now that he has not really featured with any regularity for.

I think that was naive, though. Burnley started with Barnes in midweek, Sheff Utd play with 2 strikers, Boro have 3 strikers on the pitch with Forss, Akpom and Archer, while Luton have a number of big men, Sunderland don't have any strikers :hehe: and Watford have about 500.

Almost every side in the top half have a physical striker that can hold the ball up, be it Gyokeres, Gallagher, Dike etc outside of the playoffs. Incredibly Millwall don't and play Bradshaw!

All those sides also have a centre mid/10 that can pass the ball forwards as well...

If Wickham is anything like the player he was (I’m not too optimistic about that mind), he’ll do for us because he was a very good all rounder once.

Rinomhota was good on Tuesday and is worth his place in the team, but it’s a huge weakness with the team we fielded that night that he’s the one who is seen as the number ten - or the closest thing we have to one.
