Just watched a brief highlights package. Looks like we got lucky with that offside decision in the first half.
Fine header from Meite. The man's obviously a natural goalscorer.

At the end of the day, I feel we won the match as Valerian Ismael, is almost as inept as Riza. Definitely the worst two managers in the division by a long chalk.

He did it again yesterday made a load of changes, changed the formation again, used all his substitutes and thankfully this time it worked. It won’t change my opinions though, we are never going to get any consistency with this guy. He’s winging it and I have no doubt the step forward we took yesterday will be two steps back sooner rather than later.
Thing is, i would like to know what people who want him to stay are seeing, in terms of potential in terms of improvement. I don't think it's enough to say that he'll do, or he's better than the last bloke, and the bloke before that etc. There has to be some method to the thinking.Quote:

on the negative side we have become very fragile defensively, however a lot of the goals we concede seem to be individual errors, players switching off and not tracking a simple straight through ball. it seems entirely possible to me that we could improve this aspect of our game and our set pieces without taking away anything from our attack.
if we manage that we would be looking up the table rather than down.
that said I can perfectly well see the other view point, and if we do decide to go another way then I won't be getting my pitchforks out any time soon

Man for man, we had a better 20 man squad yesterday. Also the fans from what I could hear were getting on Valerian Ismael's and the teams back during the 2nd half yesterday.. It seemed to make the players nervous. Plus from what I have been told by an ex work colleague who follows Blackburn the players don't want to play for him. I suppose then it becomes a question as to whether that represents under achievement for the group of players he inherited? There are many who think the squad is much better than its league position suggests, but I’m not so sure of that - I reckon there’s potential for it to improve, but it’s a bottom six squad at the moment.
We can say with certainty that we've improved since the days of Bulut, but these things are relative and depends on high or low you set the bar. For example, if you are of the opinion that Bulut was an awful manager and the bar that he had set was so low that could be used to dig up anthracite, then Riza isn't doing much of a job with a decent squad of players. However, if you think Bulut did ok, then we've got an average squad of players and Riza is doing a fine job.Quote:

My point is that Riza cannot be allowed the excuse that Bulut set us up for relegation in those first six matches. He is equally culpable.
