If you had suggested he’d sign for Wrexham you’d be castigated
This story is about a vision two people had of making it big
Signing Bale would be genius
Like I said Kev not everyone is a football fan but this story is going to run for a very long time
Just watch the visitor numbers increasing on the back of it
People who know of Bale know of Wales. People who don't know of Bale aren't going to tune in specifically for Bale and suddenly learn of Wales' existence.

Re: Gareth Bale comes out of retirement and signs for Wrexham?
The Wrexham story has gone global
Journalist crews were at the racecourse from all over the World
It’s not just a football story

THAT is the point.
Ryan Reynolds this, other guy that, hey look! Other Hollywood guys.
The actual football is irrelevant. Yadda yadda yadda Wrexham promote yadda yadda yadda.
It was nauseating when people fawned over Hammam with his walks and ice creams. This is that amplified by a million.

Re: Gareth Bale comes out of retirement and signs for Wrexham?
I said that earlier in the thread DW
Tan has alienated himself from the fans and his silence regarding important club issues has been deafening
Compare that to Wrexhams new owners and the difference is night and day
If Gareth Bale signs for Wrexham the club would be headline news globally every week
You couldn’t put a price tag on the free advertising
It would be business genius
After the two have gained several promotions and made a film they’ll be open to investment offers in the multi millions I’m sure
Good luck to Wrexham and we’ll all be watching the unfolding story with great interest 🌎👍

Not that long ago there wasn't even a decent hotel in Wrexham. Since the building of the dual carriageway from Wrexham to Chester most people preferred to stay on the English side of the border. I don't know what it's like now but things would have to improve drastically for it to be a decent place to experience a tourism boon. People might visit there from overseas out of curiosity but I would be surprised if there is much else to captivate their interest preferring either to travel to Cheshire or inland towards North Wales proper.
I have spent a fair bit of time in that corner of Wsles over last few years. The countryside around Wrexham is surprisingly interesting, with Llangollen, Pontstycil viaduct and canal less than half hour away.

I don't see every story about us being the latest antics of two actors, do you?
Have the actors been fully open and transparent at all steps?
Does Tan have the media expertise of the two actors?

Re: Gareth Bale comes out of retirement and signs for Wrexham?
I see Ryan Reynolds this afternoon has chipped in by offering tongue in cheek to build Gareth his own Golf course ⛳️ if he signs !!!
Wood he be persuaded?
Money surely isn’t the only driver?
Any links anyone 👍

He didn't.
He tweeted he'd shave a golf course on the Other Guys back.
Get the cute story right.

Re: Gareth Bale comes out of retirement and signs for Wrexham?
I did say tongue in cheek logic and it’s yet more free publicity
I see ladbrokes have priced Bale signing for Wrexham at 7/2
This story is going to run and run all summer

Story is all about the owners, not the club. The club is just the backstory.
You miss the point it could be any club, Wrexham weren't first choice.
Bookies are pricing something people have probably enquired about.
Let the story run all summer, other clubs get on with their preparation.

I think it’s mostly tongue in cheek.
Wrexham have said they have already started discussing targets, good luck to them.

Several ardent Wrexham fans have had tattoos of Ryan and Rob permanently inked on their bodies
I can’t see a Cardiff fan having a Tat of Vinny long Trousers lol 😂

I'm curious..how would you in theory run a perfect 100m?...and don't reply "by winning"

This is possibly one of the most bizarre statements this board has witnessed.
Lead story in the Antalya Advertiser... ‘Bale Hits Winner Against Harrogate’, meanwhile in other news two thousand made homeless in Turkish earthquake.
Hold the front page in The Eritrea Echo... ‘Gareth the Great Scores Scorcher Against Newport County’, page two snippet about another possible Ethiopian famine.
You’re getting carried away, ‘headline news globally, every week’, get real:hehe:

Eh? You can be a good coach without being a good player, much in the same way not all players are good coaches. They're different skillsets.
Bale was a world class player, one of the best of his generation, I don't think it's particularly controversial to say that his awareness, touch, positioning etc would be on another level to that of League 2 players.
-

It's not like the League 2 players don't know how to do what Bale does, they just lack the skill and ability that Bale possesses.

Silly comment, I was on the sprint team at school, and I was always one of the fastest players in the football teams I played for. However, the top class sprinters are an entirely different level as they possess vastly superior attributes.

Their mobility would be nowhere near Bale at his peak, and that's why he looked below average in the World Cup.

Umm you are at least in your 35-45 and you'd have a heart attack sprinting to your local chippy. So i'm not buying that cobblers.
You are very fast at running your gob off on here , so maybe there is some future for you
PS ( this is all said in jest )

He looked below average in the World Cup because he's shot and his priority or years has been money.
When he was going to leave Real only for the deal to collapse, he was going to China don't forget.

According to the gist of this thread, Bale should have been capable of controlling games when playing at a slower pace due to his awareness, touch, positioning, etc., but he wasn't. The moment he lost his superior attributes, he also lost his mojo.
It would still be fun to see him playing at Wrexham though, so let's hope he considers it.

I love that the Wrexham story has you so wound up. It’s comedy gold. Can’t really understand it, though. Were you once beaten up by a bunch of Wrexham fans or lost out on a girl to a Wrexham fan or something like that? Whatever the reason, it’s great reading.
