People have said for years that you should read what the club we were buying a player from’s fans to get the best idea of how good and bad they are and watching podcasts by other teams supporters is similar to that. In particular, we’re going to be playing in a division we’ve not been in for twenty two years this season and I’m not sure any City fan who claims that they know exactly what to expect in the upcoming weeks is right to do so - i certainly don’t and so am interested to see what supporters of clubs who have spent the last few seasons at this level think of it.
There’s also the fact that I like watching some of them because they’re made by people who know what they’re talking about.

But that's a completely different role to being a manager and in charge of senior players, almost in every respect as most of them have developed or matured as players, got into bad habits etc. Young players are at a different stage of development on almost every level. For what it's worth, I have a good feeling about BBM, it looks like he's got a plan, isn't going to allow players to rest on the pitch, demands work rate on and off the ball and is prepared to play higher up the pitch, and he's looking at young professionals as well, although he doesn't have much choice to be honest.

I don’t think the two things are comparable. People attempting to assess a player’s ability or character by reading the comments made about him by a range of fans at his former club is quite different to someone watching and endorsing streams of wannabee pundits making predictions from the comfort of their bedrooms or living rooms.
You say some of these people know what they’re talking about – in reality, what could a Bradford City fan possibly know about Cardiff City’s players? When would he have seen our mob play?
With all due respect, you appear to have plunged down a bit of rabbit hole in recent times. Whether you’re giving undue credence to Si’s never-ending gibberish on his mind-numbing podcast, or posting clips of a juvenile City fan swearing at matches, or highlighting the predictions of amateur broadcasters in their bedrooms, a lot of your contributions these days seem to revolve around YouTube. I don’t really understand what’s going on as I’m sure you weren’t doing this stuff until fairly recently.
Still, it could be worse I suppose. At least you haven’t resorted to AI yet.

So, i’m not behaving like you think I should, I think I can live with that. Did you hear that story this morning about You Tube now being the second most watched media outlet in the UK behind the BBC?

No, I didn't. Do you think that news somehow validates all the bedroom pundits, wannabee broadcasters and swearing kids?

Not sure it is really, he was in charge of a group of players contesting a league and he was successful at it. I accept that he’s working with cynical old pros now who might not take to his methods as readily as youngsters making their way in the game might, but I would have thought man management of a group of say, 18 to 24 year olds is not too different from a bunch of 25 to 30 year olds.

I accept that you’re going to get a broad spectrum of abilities when it comes to videos on any given subject on You Tube, but, at the top end you can get stuff that is more informed, balanced and better researched than comparable stuff on TV channels. When it comes to the videos I’ve seen on You Tube about how League One will finish up, I think I’ve watched some people who could eventually go on to work on mainstream media channels if they chose to go down that route in the future.

You're undoubtedly correct as there are just so many of them. Given the fact that literally anybody, anywhere can set up a podcast or a YouTube channel if they so desire, the law of averages dictates that some of those people will eventually work in the mainstream media. But that doesn't mean the vast majority of amateur 'content' on YouTube is anything other than garbage.

I agree, some of the stuff on League One I’ve watched have been rubbish, but you can learn from the best of them. In the main, I’ve only posted links to what I’d say are the better, most watched presenters.

Each to their own I suppose, but I tried to watch a couple of them and found them irritating from minute one. Here's a good example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBXM7hOUiFY
This guy repeats the girl's name in practically every sentence and quickly admits that he had no idea who our manager was - he'd never even heard of BBM. He claims a couple of players have come into the club, which is of course bollocks. He thinks we'll finish fifth, though. So what possible value does this guy's 'prediction' have?

Re: 25/26 League One Predictions.
Independent newspaper league 1 review has Luton and Huddersfield to go up.
Says Cardiff are back in league 1 which feels its natural level which seems harsh as we haven’t been here for such a long time!

We've spent 52 seasons in the second tier, 19 in the third tier
So not just harsh but plain wrong!
