I guess, with the total destruction of Hamas.
The problem with that is if the Gaza strip is also totally destroyed along the way, it's possible you just create more Hamas's of the world.
I have no idea where it's going.

Thing is she's very likely socially liberal but fiscally conservative, is adverse to Islamophobia but is rich and doesn't want to lose the dosh. She's torn.

Maybe, and I know this may seem crazy to you, but maybe, just maybe your and Sludge's view of who Conservatives are is just a little bit stereotypical, simplistic and a little bit, umm, I dunno, wrong? Just an idea!

Gosh no the overwhelming majority of conservatives are tossers I am absolutely certain of that
Andrew RT Davies your leader in the assembly and his comments regarding the female presiding officer of the assembly being a prime example
He's the leader of a political party not some fat oaf down the pub

Yes I thought about it, I give you that; it was worth reflecting upon. But, of course reality soon kicked in and I realised very quickly I was right all along: it's all about Dosh; these Tories will sell their soul and their grannies for it. They're terrified they'll become one of the Hoi Polloi.

The irony of criticising fanatics elsewhere and suggesting they find some peaceful middle ground when you are incapable of such yourself. Thankfully the consequences are nothing like the same here, but the principle is. 'othering' people is a major cause of conflicts. It's not what reasonable people do.

Yes but the flaw in your argument is that I'm no fanatic. I tell it as it is and you feel uncomfortable with it. I dare say because as a practicing Tory you constantly have to wrestle with internal conflicts but the love of money and status rules supreme for you.

Re: 40 Killed In Hamas Attacks In Israel
The self restraint was made obvious in those who chose not to take part in it. I thought even you would be capable of seeing that.

Again, daft stereotypes, but you know that really.
The constituency with the most Labour votes in all of the UK is Bristol West, centred on Clifton. Making these kind of stereotypes on wealth is just wrong, and again, you know it really.
As a way of thinking, whatever the scenario, it only produces conflict.

That comment interested me. I lived in Bristol (mainly Bristol West) from 1977-1983: Redlands, Hotwells, Cotham and St Werburghs.
Although there are some posh areas, my memory was that the constituency as a whole was much more mixed than the Tourist Board photos of Clifton suggest. And it is. Most people live in flats. Most rent don't own. A quarter of the population was born outside the UK. There are a lot of students. It is not an area that screams 'love of money and status'. Deprivation is around the UK average. But it does stand out as a hotspot for atheism - so no change there after 45 years!

It's a pretty diverse area, that's true. I know it well, and indeed will be there tonight!
It is comfortably the highest wage area (£671 per week) of the four Bristol constituencies though, and it is an interesting snippet of information that when sat in salubrious Clifton you are literally in the middle of the ward that has more Labour voters than any other.
I say that just to challenge a stereotype, as I've never liked them.
Average salary by constituency is quite interesting actually. Doesn't tell the full story obvs, but still.

James give it up you know you're talking nonsense. You appear to have some internal angst and I'm not surprised. You're no doubt a very conflicted person.

Exactly. If folk had followed the example of Jesus then they would not be in this mess in the first place! This is just the beginning.

Ok, thank you. That's precisely why Jesus was hated when the Jews realized that the purpose of his coming was not to lead a violent revolution against the Roman occupiers.

No conflict here Dorcus. I'm an open minded type who knows there is good and bad in every one, irrespective of political party, religion, sexuality etc. The way it should be.
I even have a few Jack mates, though that is pushing it..
