Re: The Donald Trump thread
It’s no secret that Donald Trump loves to golf, especially at his own resorts. But Trump’s habit is costing US taxpayers tens of millions of dollars – even as he decries fraud and claims to slash waste in federal spending.
Since he took office, Trump has fired tens of thousands of federal workers and tried to shut down agencies, part of his effort to unilaterally dismantle the government. He has also made seven trips to Florida and the golf courses he owns there.
This weekend, Trump made his seventh visit to Florida and his sixth to his waterfront mansion and private club at Mar-a-Lago since his inauguration on 20 January. As Richard Luscombe noted in the Guardian last week, Trump’s frequent trips to his own properties not only cost taxpayer funds, but they benefit him directly – his businesses have charged the US government to house Secret Service agents and other White House staff. In other words, American taxpayers pay the Trump Organization for the right to protect Trump and his family.
https://www.theguardian.com/commenti...ump-golf-taxes
Clearly this another example of TDS and yet another deep state attack on Saint Donald.
Hopefully the TAS boys (Trump Apologist Syndrome) will be along soon to put the record straight! :hehe:

It would take hours to sign that many pardons, and a pretty bad use of a president's time.
I don't think he signs all the pardons, he just signs the executive order that instructs the DOJ to issue the pardons.

I think the Epstein files would have been more relevant unless Papa Bush was involved, otherwise we already know most of it.

What happened with this then?
Genuinely asking, not snarkily. Haven’t seen anything said about it.

Re: The Donald Trump thread
There was one interesting page that refers to MJ-12 and how Kennedy was keen to avoid upsetting the aliens who occupy the far side of them moon.

No stevo.
But so bad it is almost good.
Zombie Nazis hiding out on the dark side of the moon.
Probably just comic strip lunacy (ha!) like that old book.

Currently running at 80,800 pages with more to come, I've decided to stick with the official version until those with some reading time to spare, come up with with some evidence that something nefarious went on.

80,000 pages or not, if there was anything new and sensational in them, we’d have known about it two or three days ago.

The President of the USA getting shot in the head is fairly nefarious I'd say :sherlock:

I'd agree with this, it makes you wonder why successive presidents inc. the 1st Trump one didn't de classify and release them.

Just watched a YouTube video of the Nuremberg rallies and it is literally impossible to tell the two apart. The only difference really is that one is in black and white.

There are colour versions of those films, which brings it all to life rather than just some just some historical old film that you can’t relate to.

Good point. In that case it is literally impossible to spot the difference.
On a more serious note, I agree the "Third Reich in colour" footage does make the whole period feel more real.

Understandable they will attack them but it's an absolutely insane story.
I kinda get how these big groups with councillors added and things can happen and people keep quiet and listen in, but this is mad. Some very serious questions of whoever added him.
Presumably they meant to add the person above them in their phone book or something? Extraordinary

That you want the next four years to be an abject failure cos you don't like a leader says a lot about you!

Would you say the same about Hitler?

Do I wish that national socialism in Germany went better than 25 million dead, the near eradication of the Jewish race and a continent in ruins? Of course I do, and so would anyone.
Why do you mention Hitler though? Bit weird.

Military plans shouldn't be discussed on a messaging app, whether a journalist was accidentally added to it (for two days!) or not. Every one of the US's 'allies' now knows for certain not to share any intelligence.
It should be an instant sacking for Hegseth, but it's highly probable that he'll stay in his job, and Trump's policy of putting unsuitable disruptors in charge of everything continues to pay off.

You are overdoing the dense act James.
Success for Trump is not success for the majority in the USA and certainly not elsewhere in the world.
If you are genuinely happy to see Trump ‘drill baby drill’, cut whatever remaining safety nets are provided by the state, remove regulations that limit the scope of his mates to exploit and extract maximum profit, empower reactionaries (including white supremacists and anti abortionists), annex Greenland, Panama and Canada, and turn Gaza into a Vegas-style Trump resort, and for the biggest political thugs on the planet to be given a green light just so Donald can get his tiny hands on a Nobel Peace Prize - then that says a lot about you!

And his self elected role of a provider of balance and common sense on here. In the last few months he’s endorsed Farage and Trump on here, not saying those have to be the actions of someone on the “far right”, but it’s hardly the opinions of someone who looks to provide balance and clarity.

I see you have invested in a new industrial strength cherry picker!
The next four years doesn't actually mean all of those things. In many cases it absolutely will not mean those things. Good governance is rarely the case when someone does exactly what they want.
Do you want to see four years of chaos, misery and failure then? This is the thing isn't it. Things have to be on your terms. Anything else is invalid?
I hope he improves the lives of American people and the world generally. Same as I hope Keir Starmer does and Eluned Morgan does and any other politician.
Some of you want him to fail because he doesn't share your beliefs.

I can see two sides of the coin Bob. Something you seem far less able to do.
I see Jon has lent you his cherry picker too?! On balance I probably woud have voted Republican. If there was an election tomorrow I probably woud vte Reform. But I have also praised Starmer, I've said one post above I hope Labour do well and the lady council elections I gave a vote to Labour.
Again, you see your opinion as the only way and anything else as an aberration but that is simply not how things are
